Our vision

Kath and Neil founded Bridge the Gap during the Covid-19 pandemic, driven by a shared vision to support isolated young people aged 16+ with SEND who couldn’t access the smallest specialist settings.
Their wealth of experience in secondary special schools coupled with conversations with professionals and families revealed a clear gap in post-16 provision leaving many young people unsupported with little or no options.
They set out to change that by offering tailored, specialist placements. They believe in the uniqueness and value of every young person who deserves the chance to contribute to society and enjoy what life has to offer. They believe that given the right support at the right time, they can.
